PMG Overview PMG fulfills the business need of continuous improvement of Plant Reliability in a manufacturing enterprise. It achieves this using a real time asset management infrastructure.

Real Time Asset Management is defined as a capability of generating a maintenance action in an Enterprise Asset Management system software (such as Maximo®), in real time, in response to an event occurring in the plant. The plant events are captured by Proficy™ Plant Applications. The captured events are made available to PMG in real time. Based on the importance of the event, PMG generates a work order for that event in the Enterprise Asset Management system in real time.

PMG provides the capability to reduce the number of failures by monitoring the conditions, symptoms and root causes that lead to a failure and generating proactive maintenance action in real time. As a result, the reliability of the plant improves
